system properties fails load

System Properties Fails To Load

When I Open The System Properties * Both Ways - Right CLick My Comp, And My Computer Right LCick Properties/ It Says "page failed to load" Any Help to see my properties would be great thanks

This sounds like Windows XP, since you refer to My Computer and System Properties. When accessed from the Computer contextual menu properties, you have to click the Advanced System Settings link.

Unless this person is really used to saying 'My Computer' instead of just saying 'Computer'. Heck, I was thinking before XP ever came out that they should have done away with the 'my' prefixes. It just doesn't sound right when you say "go to my computer on the desktop". "Your computer? How do I get to your computer?". LOL "Andre Da Costa [Extended64]" wrote in message

Hmm.. I see what your saying actually. Can you get access to any of the other Control Panel applets, and if you go to the Start menu, and highlight Control Panel, does it say "empty"?
As a work around, go to C:\windows\system32 and double click on "sysdm.cpl" and see if that works :o) Although in Vista this doesn't give you the full System Properties, it'll still give you the XP style ones which is better than nothing ;o)

I wish - I still can't access my Control Panel, not since 5259 :o( At least from 5381 upwards as soon as I could, I'd copy and paste all the shortcuts from the Control Panel into a folder on my desktop before it "disappeared".
